Who We Are

We Are Boston’s Waterfront is a grassroots advocacy organization working to put into action the objectives of Imagine Boston’s Waterfront visioning process by advocating for planning and development that promotes greater: stewardship, access, and climate-resiliency. We are made up of residents, business owners, and community activists.

Sydney Asbury and Clare Kelly are staff for We Are Boston's Waterfront. With over two decades of experience in campaign management, grassroots organizing, coalition building, and waterfront planning, Clare and Sydney are excited to be working for We Are Boston’s Waterfront.

In 2015, Sydney and Clare formed Save Our North End Waterfront, a community organization that has successfully advocated for better planning and development at Lewis Wharf.

Sydney is a graduate of Bowdoin College and lives in Brookline with her husband and three children. Sydney currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Bowdoin College, Board of Advisors for Boston Harbor Now, and Board of Advisors for the Boston Public Market.

Clare has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Boston University, with a concentration in Political Science. Clare has worked with many of Boston's leading environmental organizations on climate change issues across Massachusetts.  She is a long-term resident of Boston where she is active in local politics and community organizations.
